It’s a short story…
My best friend Bob Koritzke was a bit of a prankster. Back around the year 1982, there were many businesses that would leave out little note pads offering free memberships for people who signed up for a mailing list. Bob would fill these out with my address but he changed my last name to “Rectorsquid” on them. I would get mail addresses to that name fairly often for a while.
As we got older, he stopped doing it. But then the internet became a “thing” and I needed a user name for sites. My name is not common but it’s also not uncommon and I always needed something more unique. “Rectorsquid” was a great choice because I am apparently the only person in the entire world to use it.
Now you know why my domain name is “rectorsquid.com”. Also, “ladiesman217.com” was also already taken ;)
