Running Crank Shaft with Connecting Blocks and Temporary Rods

I have the mechanism working on the latest Rolling Ball Sculpture and I’m now working on the track. The video shows the lifting mechanism working well and a short bit of track at the top. I intend to do something similar to my previous ball/marble lifter with a short bit of track to get the ball to the bottom as quickly as possible.

I think that my next lift will be like that previous one and use a four-bar linkage mechanism (or size, eight, whatever) to move the ball around. The chain and crank are cool but not nearly as graceful looking as a pure linkage machine.
