Linkage 3.0 is almost ready!
I had a little trouble with the math for the gear and chain simulation. For a few minutes, I had very different code for the gear simulator and the chain simulator. I soon realized that I had figured out an improvement when working with the chains and then applied that to the gear code. The trouble came from meshing a gear or chain from a fixed/grounded gear to one that is on a moving link.
This shows the various gear and chain configurations, some simple and some complex. There are also some verification points that can be used to see when I make a coding mistake later that breaks the new features.
And I added color selection for the drawing layer items! That’s why the text in the upper-right has no visible point; it’s white.
