Evolution without survival of the fittest

I was just playing around with my circle art graphic script and thought that an interesting program might be one that uses a genetic parent child and genetic mutation mechanism to “decide” on the shape and style of the graphics. I would do this with reproduction mechanisms like in real life but without the survival mechanisms. There would be no traits that affected survival and no competition. The breeding would only be used to generate the style of graphics elements and the breeding would be by simple collision or other similar mechanism.
