I’m writing a Windows Store app, as many previous posts have made obvious, and I’ve got a new need that might not be fulfilled by any Microsoft tools. I need a StackPanel that hides any children that can’t be shown in their requested size. My plan is to write this completely from scratch just to be sure I have complete control over it. The only real differences from my new control and a typical StackPanel are that mine will accept a new property to control left or right side (or top or bottom) clipping, and all children that can’t fit will be made invisible. Now I just hope that it is easy and without side effects doing this. Maybe I’ll need to make their size 0 if I can’t change the visibility.
I’ll post more once I get it working. Or maybe I’ll find that someone already did this!
